Teresa Sartore
Head of the International Press Office

Teresa Sartore is Head of the International Press Office at Lightbox. She was born and bred in Venice and since 2005 she has undertaken several research and art projects, and has since gone on to specialise in Communications and Contemporary Art.

She holds an MA in Anthropology from SOAS School of Oriental and African Studies, London University. She worked as Research Assistant at Heidelberg University (2009-2013) and Visiting Researcher at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (2011-2013).

In 2015 she was the Artistic Director of PRISMA Human Rights Photo Contest, organised by the Global Campus of Human Rights in collaboration with Lightbox. In 2016 and 2017 she was a member and artistic curator at ISOLAB, Photography Research Centre.

She is currently Media and Communication Consultant for the Department of Asian and North Africa Studies (since 2019) and the Department of Humanities (since 2021), Ca’ Foscari University.
