Aleksei Afanasiev is a specialist in cultural development and brand positioning through multidisciplinary art projects and targeted audiences engagements. With over 15 years of experience in contemporary art across different functions, extensive knowledge of global art destinations, key institutions and events, Aleksei have contributed to the cultural transformations of the Red October Factory in Moscow, and the expansion of Alserkal Avenue, including OMA-designed Concrete, in Dubai. He has collaborated with Art Dubai, Cosmoscow, India Art Fair, Moscow Design Week, and Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, among others. He lives in Dubai since 2010, and is a recipient of the UAE “Golden Visa” for his contribution to the cultural scene.
