ALTERED VIEWS

by Voluspa Jarpa
curated by Agustín Pérez Rubio

11 May – 24 November, 2019

“Altered Views” invites to reflect on issues such as racism, patriarchy, economic interests and dominance as forms of colonialism. The project investigates the relationship between monarchy and populace and their hegemonic evolution through the revision of European historic cases, and is the result of years of research into the reality of Latin American countries through CIA declassified documents. It is composed of three reversed cultural spaces/models: The Hegemony Museum, the Subaltern Portrait Gallery and the Emancipating Opera.
